If you're seeing this page, it's because you tried to go to a web page or web site that requires your browser's JavaScript
to be on in order to work correctly. It also means that your browser has its JavaScript disabled. That's a manual
setting and you or some (perhaps) well-meaning busy body turned it off.
JavaScript is safe and is what makes the internet more than just flipping pages in a magazine. It allows web pages to
sing and dance, to verify data you enter, to process forms and do many other things.
JavaScript is not a security risk.
♦
If you are worried about security issues with JavaScript, you may be thinking of Java, which is a completely
different animal. An unfortunate confluence of names often has the media mixing these two up.
♦
If you need help turning on your browser's JavaScript, ask Google. Include your browser's name (usually, Chrome,
FireFox, Safari, Opera, IE (Internet Explorer), Maxthon, Avant, SeaMonkey or several others. Ask Google search
something like "[name of my browser] turn on javascript"
♦
If you see '[name of my browser]' instead of the name of your browser, well... silly... that's because your
JavaScript is TURNED OFF!
♦
If you are not sure what browser you are using it's shown at the top of this page (or not! since you have JavaScript turned
off). You can also click here and get another opinion on your browser:

If you are working in a secure environment or a paranoid business environment, it is also possible that some over-zealot
has disabled JavaScript at the firewall, which is possible, and really silly unless security is the primary
concern, due to some sensitive nature of your work. If that's the case, then never mind. Try the website again at home,
later tonight.
